DRY FALL? DON'T FORGET TO WATER!

Rochester is experiencing another dry fall, and that means your newly planted trees and shrubs need extra attention before winter arrives! Last year's dry conditions took a toll on many landscape plants, especially evergreens like arborvitae, pines, holly, spruce, cypress, and boxwood. The best way to ensure a healthy over-wintering is by watering thoroughly with 5–20 gallons per plant weekly, depending on size, making sure the root ball is well hydrated before the ground freezes. A little extra care this fall can make a BIG difference in helping your trees and shrubs survive winter and thrive next spring!
