Don’t settle for one or two basil leaves all summer. 🌿

One of the biggest mistakes beginner gardeners make is harvesting basil incorrectly—or being too afraid to harvest it at all.

The basil on the left and the basil on the right started the same way. The difference was how it was pruned throughout the season.

In this reel, I’ll show you:

🌱 The simple trick that can dramatically increase your basil harvest
🌱 Where to make your cuts
🌱 Why pruning creates a bushier plant

Trust me, this is one of those gardening lessons I wish I had learned sooner.

💾 Save this for when your basil starts growing.

Turns out, not all potatoes grow equally.

And if you’re planting the wrong type the wrong way, you could be wasting a lot of effort.

For years, I thought all potatoes benefited from hilling soil higher and higher around the plants. Then I learned about determinate vs. indeterminate potatoes—and suddenly a lot of gardening advice started making sense.

In this video, I’ll explain:
🥔 Which potatoes grow in one layer
🥔 Which potatoes benefit from hilling
🥔 Why potato towers don’t work equally well for every variety
🥔 How to avoid green potatoes

If you’re growing potatoes this year, this is information you’ll want to know before planting.

Did you already know there were two different potato growth habits? 👇 #2026

Garden upgrades this year include six 16 foot cattle panels. These fellas are about 4 foot high. I stacked two on top of each other for a very tall trellis for cucamelons and green beans. Functional? Yes. Structurally sound? Probably not 😅 I’ll be adding wire to help support it once I find my wire cutters 🙈
