A lot of homeowners don’t realize there are local programs that may help cover the cost of necessary home repairs, including certain electrical repairs.
Programs are available through Monroe County, the Town of Greece and the Town of Irondequoit. Each program has its own income requirements, property requirements and funding availability, so homeowners will need to contact the program directly to see whether they qualify.
These programs are generally for needed health and safety repairs, not cosmetic upgrades.
I work with these programs and can provide estimates for electrical work that may be included as part of an approved project.

Funding can be limited, and some programs may not currently be accepting new applications, but it is still worth reaching out and asking about current or future availability.
