We have not had anyone sign to take over our lease yet so we are officially planning to be here through June (at least) and decided we needed a major tropical plant restock. We just put hundreds of new plants and it’s starting to feel like “Zen” again! Everything is still 25% off!! Store Closing Update: the number one question we get is “when is your last day” as of right now we still do not have an official end date. Our lease still has 14 months left and we are trying to find someone to take over the lease. We have a few prospects but nothing official yet. That being said we may very likely be here for at least a couple more months and will continue to restock as necessary to make sure we have enough inventory to provide for everyone coming in to support us. We still need all the support we can get so please continue to stop by and see what’s new. Our 25% off store wide sale continues until the store is officially closed.

I wish we had a funny April fools joke for you today, but at least we can tell you that although we are closing, we do NOT have a definitive date yet, and because y’all showed up this last weekend we have decided to restock a bunch of new plants today! Until we have someone to take over our lease we plan to stay open as long as possible (though days and hours may change soon) so we can keep paying our monthly lease. We appreciate you showing up and showing your support! Our 25% off deal is still going on and will continue until the doors are closed for good.

After nearly 7 wonderful years in downtown Rockford, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Zen Botanicals.

What started as a simple dream between Linsey and I grew into something truly special thanks to all of you. Your support, conversations, and shared love for plants made this journey incredibly meaningful, and we’re deeply grateful for every moment.

That said, the shop is no longer aligning with our long-term goals, and it’s time for us to move in new directions. Linsey has returned to the field of dentistry, and I’m stepping into my next chapter in the insurance industry.

To say thank you and help us close this chapter, we’re starting a 25% off storewide sale effective immediately. Inventory will move quickly, so we encourage you to stop in soon for the best selection.

Additionally, our downtown Rockford building will be available for lease, and we’re open to buyout opportunities for fixtures, displays, and shop elements if you’re interested. Please send us a message if you’d like more details.

We do not have a final closing date yet, but we will keep you posted with any developments.
