Applied Landscape Materials, Inc. is looking for Local and out of town CDL A drivers. Position includes Vacation, Medical and Dental insurance after 90 probation. Note that you will be required to provide a copy of your DMV record for an interview.

Job Description:
Operating blower trucks to install bark on residential, commercial and government projects throughout Northern California.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas and be willing to work overtime and stay out of town for a week or more at a time. Technical city driving a plus!

Must be proficient in 10 speed transmission (Drive test required upon hiring)
Running a backpack blower
Managing crews and job sites
Excellent time management
Proficient in worksite and machine Safety
Loading landscape bark into trucks using a wheel loader.
Pulling and carrying 5" rubber hose in and out of job sites
Travel daily throughout the state of California
Daily vehicle reports required
Routine maintenance of equipment
Occasional weekends and overnights may be required
Misc. other labor involved duties

A normal work day starts between 4 - 5am. Hourly pay of $23-25 plus overtime and occasional prevailing wage.

Per Diem, Housing and additional vacation accrual provided when out of town.

Job Description:
Class A Driver with clean DMV record
Short Hauls, majority local
Operating blower trucks
Running a backpack blower
Loading landscape bark into trucks using a wheel loader
Walking up to 5 miles per day
Pulling and carrying 5" rubber hose in and out of job sites
Travel daily throughout the state of California
Occasional weekends and overnights may be required
Misc. other labor involved duties

A normal work day starts between 5 - 6 am. Hourly pay of $23-25 plus overtime and occasional prevailing wage.

We compensate for gas as well as wear and tear on your vehicle and pay for any out of town expenses.

Using our state-of-the-art blowing trucks, we can quickly install large quantities of mulch in a fraction of time as compared to conventional methods (by hand and wheelbarrow). This works extremely well for municipalities, apartment complexes or homeowner associations where we want to minimize disruptions to the public. Here the team is working on beautifying a neighborhood street for a local municipality. We completed this work with two trucks in just 90 minutes!!

Not only does the front yard look better, the plants will be much happier and healthier due to the natural protection from the harsh elements. We all know how hot ☀️ it gets in Rocklin during the summer.

Spreading mulch the old-fashioned way, with wheelbarrows, shovels and manual labor ... takes a lot of time and the results can't match the professional look of blown-in bark. We recently completed this front yard bark installation in just 20 minutes..... including clean-up! We barked the front and backyard for this customer.

Please note the installation video only took 10 minutes to record (playback speed was enhanced to shorten the video down to a 3 min video).

Put your wheelbarrows away!

Did you know that we can install up to 400' away from our trucks? Retaining wall in the way, not a problem when you have your material pneumatically blown in by Applied Landscape Materials.
