Here are a couple of tricks for you. I use pipe cleaners to hang most of my decorations I like that they're bendy and they hold up well over time (they're all so very soft on the fingers 👻) I just looped them through the back of whatever I'm hanging and loop them around what I'm hanging them to and twist them together. For the pumpkin those are designed as an ornament so I actually hung it through the hole for the lights in the bottom in the back and then looped it on to the garland that way. There's one pumpkin on this Garland that's hanging sideways a little bit until forward so I actually looped it through the back and through the eye screw in the top and have it attached in two points just so it's really secure and hanging the way I wanted it to. My AC control box was an eyesore to me so I use this little box to cover it. I did cut the bottom off eventually so that the air could flow through.

Here it goes. I'm going to be real. It might come off as negative, so keep scrolling if you want sunshine and rainbows. Etsy has allowed so much crap to flood their platform my sales have been declining since last year. I don't think people trust their platform anymore. To add insult to injury, during the off season I am not the best about getting orders out on time so Etsy will bury your listings. So real shops with real makers are getting buried by ai on two levels. Ai and drop shippers are flooding the platform with crap and then the Etsy ai bots are hiding the real shops. It's awful. We are all seeing it. We are all feeling it. Ai is dominating fields that were once for creatives and the creatives are the ones being punished...on every level. I get hidden on Instagram too. My videos get practically no views unless I pay for them. Life has become pay to play. Please be extra mindful of where you buy your goods. My images are not ai and what you buy is what you get. There are others out there who mold my skulls and try to sell them, there are some who buy my bows and skulls and try to sell them as their own. $hits wild these days. Why are we like this? What is our obsession with ? I'd love to know. For me it's the colors, the imagination and the freedom to do whatever, truly, whatever you want. We started out gore and zombies every year until my son was about 2. After realizing the fx make ups I was doing on people might freak him out I started doing Haunted Mansion Holiday...a more kid friendly holiday look. Last year we started doing mixed in with with a sprinkling of and I love it. I'm so excited to start decorating outside...but for now, the inside is getting decked!

Anyone else with a seasonal shop struggling to get back into the algorithm? 🙋‍♀️ My last video took so long to make and got hardly any traction. It honestly makes me wonder if I should even bother. Everything is so cracked out these days. Half a second of Ai stuff gets millions of views. Here's me- making one of my man eating wreaths. Made by hand- with no Ai. I sculpt the teeth with a foam clay and then paint in some added definition. It's all on a foam backing that's then glued into a wreath and styled out with holly, a big red bow, and one of my skulls.
