A complete flowerbed renovation with a detailed focus on Bermuda grass removal and w**d removal
Bermuda grass is one of the more challenging grasses to control once it becomes established in a flowerbed. Its aggressive growth habit and underground runners can make complete removal a process rather than a one-time service.
Bermuda grass can be especially difficult to control once it becomes established in flowerbeds. Removing it by hand is a labor-intensive process, but getting the grass and w**ds out is an important first step toward regaining control of the beds.
The initial hand removal eliminates the existing grass and runners that can be physically removed, but small pieces of remaining roots and runners can regenerate and produce new growth. For that reason, follow-up monitoring and multiple applications of a selective herbicide may be necessary to target Bermuda grass as it re-emerges.
With consistent follow-up treatment and proper maintenance, we can gradually reduce the Bermuda grass and regain better control of the flowerbeds.
The goal isn’t simply to remove what’s visible today, it’s to address the problem at its source and establish a plan for long-term control.
