Hey, Wood (Wakefield)…this is what you look like without your stain on. 😬
Yes, I hate stripping and yes, I stripped this so it flowed better with my customer’s decor.
I’m sure some of you are thinking “the Heywood Wakefield Sculptura Highboy dresser is worth upwards of $2K in its original condition”
But
it is SOLID wood so she can have it stained/painted/whatever 20x’s times if she wants. The original solid stain hid the color variation and the grain which is quite lovely on the sun. I’m sure this sculptural classic would look amazing in any color. 😉

I’ve been a little quiet …but I’ve been busy. Finishing up a kitchen, lots of furniture, visiting my kids in Chicago, oh, and doing some cool stuff for a new restaurant!! I’ll start off with this updated china cabinet for a customer via Jen Fix Interiors…paint color matched to Tricorn Black.
