Dear friends,
I've started a new job with BigHearted Blooms and couldn't be happier to share with you. BHB has been near and dear to my heart over the years.

BigHearted Blooms is a non-profit that repurposes flowers and delivers to care facilities across Cleveland and near suburbs to those who need a lift.

Please check out our website to read more about our mission and how you can help. Our workshops are fun and who doesn't like to arrange flowers. We also need volunteers for deliveries and pick-ups and of course, you can always donate to our mission.

One of our workshop volunteers recently made her first delivery and told BHB, "I touched hearts and made people smile with the beautiful arrangements I took to them....thank you so much for the opportunity." Could you help us touch even more hearts by becoming a delivery driver?

Shoppers, we’re just a few days away from The Summer Market 😮 so we created a checklist to help you prepare! 🥳 Don’t forget these important items this Friday and Saturday:

⚓ SUNSCREEN: Black River Landing is a giant, open-air park without too much shade. Lather on the sunblock before coming to the event - and have a bit more on hand in case you need to reapply.

⚓ CASH, CHECK, CARD: We recommend bringing all forms of payment to the event as each vendor accepts different options. Some are cash only. An ATM will be available on site if needed.

⚓ YOUR CREW: The Summer Market is the best place to hang out with your family, your friends and your significant other. Grab some yummy food, sip on cocktails, iced tea or fresh-shaken lemonade by the Black River, settle in for some great live music Friday night and shop with some of the very best artists, makers, movers and shakers in the midwest.

⚓ A BAG OR CART: …to carry all of your purchases, of course!!

⚓ DONATION: The Summer Market has been a free event for 16 years and continues to be as we head into our 17th season. But did you know that this event is also a fundraiser for local families and organizations in need? This year, Blessing House - a safe house for children who's families are in crisis - and My House - a transitional home for youth aging out of the foster care system - are the Market’s non-profit benefactors.

Want to help with our fundraising efforts and support these vital organizations? Here’s how:

1️⃣ Make a tax deductible donation to Girls Give Back by dropping one off at our Information Booth under the middle pavilion.

2️⃣ You can park in our fundraising lot at The Summer Market. $20 will give you an up close parking spot and a really good feeling about helping out!

3️⃣ You can make a purchase at our Girls Give Back booth: some iced tea, Market Merch and some curated goods perhaps! All proceeds go to Girls Give Back.
