Dampproofing Vs.Waterproofing

Foundation coatings are classified into two categories-dampproofing and waterproofing. Dampproofers prevent soil moisture from going through the foundation walls into the basement,but they are not meant to stand up to hydrostatic pressure. Waterproofing products prevent the entrance of soil moisture through the foundation walls while also withstanding hydrostatic pressure. They will last longer and are more protective than dampproofers.

We offer both applications to meet all of your foundation needs.

Exciting announcement;

I am happy to announce that R.T. Cresanto Foundation Coating, Llc has been working with a manufacturer to develop a new product for the company. The new product arrived last week and application started today. This product is a high quality, versatile material.
This is a Solvent Based Modified Asphalt Fortified With Polymers, Minerals and Oils.This has a full body and more elastic than my previous material. It can be used for both Waterproofing and Damp Proofing. Additionally, it has antioxidizing qualities that make it an approved coating for sub grade steel piping and structures. This is a Thixotropic Gel which gives it outstanding anti-sag abilities when applied to a vertical surface.

For Damp Proofing, single coat (30 mils wet/20 dry) it meets or exceeds ASTM D449 Type 1

Double coat (60 mils wet/40 dry) it meets or exceeds the 2018 IBC and RBC requirements for waterproofing.
