Flexible solutions are required for different situations. This backsplash has a lot of Q's and A's. Do we end at the cabinet or the end of the counter? In this case the light switches helped us decide. If the switches were moved to the left or right 3" we could have gone to the end of the countertop. Do we remove the existing granite backslpashes? Often we do but some customers prefer to keep them. If we removed these, we would have drywall repair to do under the switch. Where do we end the tile behind the stove? We always go a little lower than the countertop because ranges these days often do not have a back like they used to. We hope this was helpful. The 90s called, they want their ugly brown tile back! We updated this shower with some beautiful 2'x4' low maintenance porcelain tile with brass accents and trim. We also widened the niche for extra space and removed the corner seat for the same reason. If you're ready to update, give us a call.
