From 2019-2021-2026

I planted this landscape around 2018 and have taken care of it since. The cypress have definitely grown some. This year I need to move a bunch of the coral bells and lift the cypress a bit..there’s a few shrubs added that you can’t even see as the cypress took over and last year I replaced a lot of the timber framing.

While doing some cleanup work at a customers today I came across a bit of a issue that will need addressed soon.

Hard maple on the corner of the house with a major stress fracture. You can watch the separation as the wind blows and this is without snow and ice weight or the weight of the leaves soon to come..not to mention a pileated woodpecker keeps pecking the opposite side crack.

Beyond cable or bracing, options at this point would be major weight reduction or full removal to mitigate further issues down the road if the tree were to have a hollow cavity forming from the split. You can see CODIT in the cracks but the weather/wind is more than the trees natural healing responses can handle.

Large dying tulip poplar removal

I trimmed this tree in the past when a large section broke out and I suggested while I was there just remove the whole tree..about 2 years later and roughly 4 hrs of work, it’s finally taken care of.

Little landscape project and sod install from last week.

The customers already had the edging blocks in a large u shape. I took out the sides leaving the front and put the blocks from the sides on the back curve and then installed a stone bed with a few plants.

Then the area behind was cleaned up prepped and around 500 sq ft of sod laid.

Climbing twigs in tight spaces in the rain..

Cherry tree was only around 12-14” dbh but was rather tall, well over the roof of the mobile homes. Gas and electric meters within 5 ft of the stump not much room to let stuff fly..

Saturday morning tree trimming rigging big wood down..

This large tree was hit with a fairly big cherry tree months back and busted off several limbs, leaving large open wounds that would attract disease and pest and never heal properly

Set up a porta wrap around the base of the trunk and set up the rigging ring sling just below my tie in climbed up and rigged out a couple large sections..

This is usually a nice little creek, but with the lack of water this year it has dried up which usually does happen once a year but by fall it will be back to a steady flow. In the fall and spring if the leaves and debris are not cleared the water swells out and floods out the area in several spots.

Since the water dried up the customer decided it would be a good time to clean up. Trim both sides and cut back all overhanging vegetation. Several fallen tree that fell over cleared up and a modification to the heavy sediment building up in the drain tile when the water does flow steady. This is most the main stretch we keep the cleanest. Next will be the ends that stretch into the woods that need clear and heavy trimming.
