Well…we’re doing something a little different this week.

We’re going away.

Not to a fancy resort. Not on some big, perfectly planned vacation. Just getting out of town, heading back toward nature, slowing things down, and spending a few days together.

It’s actually our first real getaway since becoming empty nesters.

And if I’m being honest, I’m a little surprised by how much I need it.

Life has gotten really, really full.

Between work, home, flea markets, finding treasures, making things, pricing things, moving things, photographing things, posting things…and all the other little pieces that somehow fill up a life, I realized we hadn't really stopped in a while.

So we're going to.

For a few days, there may be fewer booth pictures. Fewer updates. Less Facebook. More trees. More campfire. More sitting around doing absolutely nothing productive—which, frankly, may be the hardest part. 😂

But I haven't disappeared, and neither have the booths.

Not So Nouveau Booth #8 All three locations are still open, so while we're off getting our nature fix, go do a little treasure hunting for us!

And please don't just stop at my booths. Wander the whole place. Check out the other vendors. Dig through the stuff nobody else noticed. Find something weird that makes you smile.

That's what I love about these places.

We'll be back soon—with probably way too many pictures, a few stories, and hopefully a little more rested.

Because sometimes you don't need to accomplish anything.

Sometimes you just need to go somewhere with trees, sit beside the person you've been doing life with for 20 years, and remember that there's a whole world outside your to-do list.

That's where we're headed.

A Bittersweet Announcement from Not So Nouveau Booth #8 Angels Landing Flea Market ❤️

This one wasn’t an easy decision, but after a lot of thought, I’ve decided that September will be my final month at Angels Landing Flea Market in Greenbrier.

Just to be clear—Not So Nouveau is NOT closing! 😉 I’m simply saying goodbye to my Angels Landing location at the end of September. I’ll still be bringing you vintage finds, treasures, books and all the other good stuff at my other two locations.

I stopped in today to start the process of wrapping things up. I marked down lots of items, restocked the Blind Date with a Book selection, and gave Booth #8 a little fluff and freshening up. You’ll also see my new signs around the booth:

Leaving Angels Landing truly isn’t easy. I’ve enjoyed being part of this market, and I want to say something that I hope doesn’t get lost in the announcement:

If you’ve never been to Angels Landing, please go. And don't just come see my booth—wander the whole place!

It is a fantastic market with wonderful vendors, a ton of space to explore, and enough treasures to keep you wandering for hours.

And the woman behind it all deserves some love, too. The owner is fantastic, and she has a top-notch crew working alongside her. They’ve created a market that is genuinely worth the trip, and I’m grateful that Not So Nouveau got to be a small part of it.

So if you’ve been meaning to visit Angels Landing, September is a great time to go. Come hunt for treasures, visit the other vendors, wander a little longer than you planned, and yes… stop by Booth #8 while you’re there. 😉

There are plenty of markdowns throughout the booth and a fresh stack of Blind Date with a Book choices waiting for someone to take a chance on a good read. 📚❤️

There’s something to be said for the old-school boredom busters. ❤️

Some vintage treasures made their way into Not So Nouveau Booth #8 today, including needlepoint iron-on transfers, cross-stitch patterns, and a few other little pieces of crafty nostalgia. The kind of things that might have kept us busy for an afternoon before we had a screen in every room. 😉

And we’re not done yet! More fall goodies are on their way soon, so keep watching for those as the seasons start to change.

A Little Behind the Scenes at Not So Nouveau Booth #8 🛍️✨

It’s been a busy few days around here!

I spent the weekend working at Peddlers Market, and Saturday was definitely one of those “well, we’re going to remember this day” kind of days. 😂 Our credit card system decided it needed a little vacation, which made for some technical difficulties during an already crazy-busy Saturday.

Even with the hiccup, our customers were absolutely wonderful. Everyone was so kind, patient, and understanding while we worked through the situation. It really meant a lot! ❤️

The owners were able to get everything back up and running Sunday morning before the market opened, so we were back in business and ready for another day of treasure hunting.

I even managed to get a few new treasures priced and into the Not So Nouveau booth on Sunday!

Today I’m taking things a little slower… well, as slow as I apparently know how to go. 😉 I’ve been wrapping more Blind Date books, pricing new treasures, and working on both FALL and CHRISTMAS inventory that will be making its way into my booths.

There’s always something happening behind the scenes at Not So Nouveau!

For now, I’m enjoying a little quieter day before things get busy again and thought I’d share a few of the new treasures that have made their way into the booth.

Sometimes you start with a plan… and then the booth has other ideas. 😂

I stopped by Daisy & The Dandelion Vintage Market today to restock the books, and while I was there I decided to finally put those baskets to work!

The original plan involved rope. I wasn’t loving it, so I switched gears and used the S-hooks directly on the gate wire — and I think I like this SO much better! Seven baskets, a little more texture, a little more height, and another layer of that cozy, collected look I love. ❤️

A little restocking + a little rearranging + a little “let’s see what happens.”

Come take a little walk through Not So Nouveau Booth #8 at Peddlers Market! 🛍️✨

I’m working on my video skills and thought I’d give you a little peek at what’s currently in the booth. There are vintage treasures, farmhouse finds, books, furniture, collectibles, bargain finds and lots of little things waiting to be discovered. ❤️

I know it has only been a couple of days since I last changed things up here, but I’ve been moving things around, adding new finds and changing things up, so there’s always something a little different to see!

And yes… I’m still learning the whole video/editing thing, so bear with me while I figure it out. 😂

✨ Not So Nouveau Booth #8 Peddlers Market got a little facelift today! ✨

I spent some time at the booth today giving the entrance a fresh look, changing out some shelving, moving things around, and adding a few new furniture pieces. One piece actually sold before I even had a chance to get it set up! 😂 So I’d say that’s a pretty good start!

And there’s more coming…

I’ll be back later this week with several more small treasures to restock and, of course, more Blind Date with a Book because y'all have been keeping those shelves moving! 📚❤️

I just couldn’t fit everything in the car today with the new shelving. There are limits to what I can accomplish with one vehicle and a whole lot of stuff. 😂

I’m also slowly starting to work a few fall treasures into the booth. 🍂 There are lots more waiting in the wings, though, so this is just the beginning.

If you’ve been following along, you may remember my recent “behind the scenes” sourcing posts showing some of the furniture and treasures I’ve been picking up. Some of those pieces are now at Peddlers Market, while others are still making their way there.

There is A LOT to process right now… but I’m getting there. Slowly. One piece, one shelf, one booth refresh at a time. ❤️

And while I’m talking about all of this, I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to every single person who supports Not So Nouveau. Whether you shop, share a post, stop by the booth, tell a friend, pick up a book, or simply follow along — I am truly thankful for each and every one of you.
Most of all, I want to thank and praise God for every blessing and for His grace, forgiveness, strength, understanding, and love. The list could go on and on.
