Big things happening at The Money Pit! Thanks to D&D Inc. the “barn” is almost done. Future home of our family van and the various large yard work tools that are taking up space in the car garage and yard. Tailored Concrete Coatings will be coating the concrete first though!

What should we call it…”garage” doors need names…big blue barn? tool shed? Help me out here!

The poorly installed olive green wallpaper had to go! Faucet barely reached the sink making handwashing very difficult…and of course if you have to pull out the toilet, you might as well replace that too! Before and after on the driveway. It was full of cracks, random patches, and pooling water. The smaller cars also scraped their fronts every time we pulled out. Thanks to John Donohue Asphalt Paving it’s now properly graded and seamless!

The last set of window and doors are done! Thanks to !! The room is no longer freezing in the winter and I don’t hear the sound of a train when the wind blows anymore!

Window replacement underway! Hopefully the room will maintain heat much better when it’s done!

I haven’t posted in awhile as we’ve been catching up on non-house related tasks.

I have this really great view of the mountains from my craft room/sunroom but I’ve had to keep plastic over all the windows! The windows leak so bad the curtains move when the wind blows. We go through about a bag of pellets a day just to keep the room at 65 in the winter.

Thanks to Tri County Windows and Siding we should have all new windows by the end of the week! I’m SO excited!!

We started off with a nice large hot tub that had the outer shell broken and falling off. The outer jet controls didn’t work, the inside jets didn’t move, the heater died less than a year after moving in…every professional suggested we toss it but we worked through one problem after the other. For less than a quarter the price of a replacement, we now have a working heater, working and controllable jets, and a beautiful gray outer shell that matches the colors of the patio!
