Lessons learned about Palm trees, I was unable to climb this tree. The bark was so slick my lanyard would slip. Thanks to the training from , I dropped this tree within in 8’ target area. All the proceeds were donated to Bakers Creek Freewill Baptist church in Russellville, AR. I did redeem myself the following day by making a recreational climb in a beautiful Live Oak at camp Chris Turnbough and Jennifer McArthur Turnbough!

Last week Skyline Tree Service removed a large White Oak from a house and safely dismantled a broken Hickory tree which landed on a shed. The oak tree was completely uprooted and the Hickory broke in half by Hurricane Michael. After Hurricane Michael, William Briscoe travelled back to Georgia to check on family and personal property. While in Georgia, he is going to assist with the storm damage clean up. The hurricane was rated as a category one as it passed through Plains and Americus, Georgia. Trees are down and the store shelves are empty!

Equipped with the proper training and equipment, Skyline Tree Service removed a large limb from a roof in Russellville, Arkansas (AR). William Briscoe climbed the Sweet Gum tree, set rigging points, ran the ropes, and base tied the broken limb to control direction while the ground crew winched the limb up into a vertical position. Once in the vertical position, the ground crew slowly lowered the limb in a controlled manner. “Topping” trees is not recommended in the arboriculture industry. Once a tree has been topped, the tree cannot “seal,” or compartmentalize, the wound before decay sets in. This tree was topped eighteen years ago. The decay worked its way all the way to the roots. Decay attracts insects, insects and decay stress the tree making it susceptible to disease. Hypoxylon canker, insects, and decay killed this tree eighteen years after it was topped. www.skylinetreesurgeons.com
