“What’s blooming this week at Mad Mutt Farms?
Spring is showing off and we’re here for it! Here’s what’s popping up in the yard:
• Spirea bushes dancing in the breeze
• Azaleas adding their bold color splash
• Wisteria making purple statements

And the star of the yard this week? Our snowball viburnum is bursting into bloom! Those big, fluffy white clusters look just like hydrangeas and totally steal the show. Every day it gets fuller, and I can’t stop staring at it.

Every bloom is a reminder that warmer days are here. What’s blooming in your yard right now?”

Our Spring Break started out with a trip to south Louisiana where Spanish moss is a trademark. Fun fact.... Spanish moss isn’t Spanish or moss...it’s a bromeliad native to Mexico and Central America. It’s not parasitic and transfers to different branches by the wind.

Y’all...this is the second snow “storm” since 2021 and I live in Louisiana...not normal. We finally have moved into a “new” house...part of it was built in about the 1880s and added on to in the 1980s...I can’t wait to start landscaping this spring. I’m especially excited about the courtyard area out of the kitchen window 😍
