✨ The Full Zodiac Candle Line is HERE ✨

(Well, the 8oz tins anyway! I promise the pillars will be released next - there's a bit more work to do there)

We’ve been working on these for months — researching, blending, testing, and refining until each candle felt true to its sign. Every part of these was intentionally crafted, from the herbs and gemstones to the sigils on the labels. More work went into this line than any other product and I can't wait for you to meet them all!

For the sigils, we combined the symbol of each Zodiac sign with the symbol of its planetary ruler(s). Then we layered in symbolism tied to the intention behind each blend. The pair of words on every label reflects that intention: a well-known trait of the sign paired with an area where a little extra support can be grounding, clarifying, or energizing.

Each element shares a base fragrance that fits its vibe — airy, fiery, earthy, or watery — and every sign gets its own unique layer to give it personality and presence.

🐝 🕯 Packing up inventory for Fall Weird Market this weekend! We have over 26 different kinds of hand rolled, herb infused beeswax intention candles for quick spellcasting and ritual work. We don't have *all* kinds in stock, but we will have what you see here!

✨️🕯 Since ya'll loved these melts so much at our last market, we had to do a quick little restock before this weekend's !

If you have been following Modern Magix from the beginning, you have seen plenty of little drawings on our products - besides the logo. These symbols are called sigils, and I use them heavily in my personal practice.

Sigils are symbols used in a magical practice, imbued with a desired intent or outcome. They are an excellent method of writing intent and using that as an ingredient in a spell or ritual. There isn't a right or wrong way to create a sigil - and there are many different methods you may use in crafting one. Many sigils are constructed from the letters in a word or sentence, abstracted into shapes and combined into one symbol. This is part of how I create my own.

You may start with a sentence like “I am filled with strength.” Some methods suggest crossing out vowels and repeating characters. This would leave you with “MFLDWTHSRNG” - which can further be broken down into horizontal and vertical lines, back slashes and forward slashes, open parentheses, small curves, etc. The idea is you combine all of these shapes into one single symbol so that your finished sigil contains your starting sentence. What you do with this sigil is up to you! You can burn it, energetically “charge” it, write it onto an object, embroider it onto your clothing, and more.

My intention candles all have their own sigils on the packaging. I consider this packaging to energetically “program” the candles with the intent of the sigil. You may choose to take the paper and write a more specific intent on the back, fold it up, and place it in front of the candle before lighting.

This week, we hit over 5,000 sales on Etsy! 🍾 🥂 🎉 While we've had well over 5k total sales between in person events, with our retail partners, and sales on other platforms, this milestone is very exciting! I am humbled and grateful for the support of our loyal repeat customers and enthusiastic newcomers. Wait until you see the new line we've been working on 😁

🎄✨️Yule Restock Incoming!!

Tomorrow I'll be dropping off our Yule candles at - including my last round of Peppermint Mocha offerings. ☕️ Peppermint Mocha has been discontinued for now. Besides what you can find at the coolest giftshop in Biddeford, I will have a small quantity of remaining Peppermint Mocha stock listed online ASAP!

Have an idea for a third scent for our Yule collection? Let me know! In the meantime, I'll be mixing up fragrances to find something new for the holidays ✨️🎁🎄
