• What are ‘IFRA’s?!
- The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) is the global representative body of the fragrance industry. They set the standards for the safe usage of fragrance in different products. Their guidelines ensure that fragrance oils do not cause harm to consumers or the environment.
That being said, all of our fragrances abide by IFRA guidelines as we strive to ensure your health & happiness! As well as for the effectiveness of our products.
• What are ‘Phthalates?’
- Phthalates are a class of synthetic chemicals used to add flexibility to plastics. They are typically used in fragrances to help extend the scents longevity.
Now, why are they bad?
Phthalates are known endocrine disruptors, meaning they can interfere with the body’s natural hormone system. As well as being forever chemicals, which refers to a class of synthetic chemicals that resist degradation and can remain in the environment and human body for extended periods of time.
I don’t know about you, but we don’t think that sounds too pleasant..
