An afternoon at the museum is the perfect plan for a day of culture and art to fill your cup with inspiration and joy!
There are three amazing exhibits at the Crocker Museum right now. In one trip you can view a Frida Khalo painting, the most famous Ruth Bernhard photograph (lady in the box), a Judy Chicago plate from The Dinner Party, the iconic 1895 “Flaming June” oil painting by Frederic Leighton, and an amazingly colorful and equally powerful exhibit of screen-printed posters from Sacramento’s own Royal Chicano Air Force.
Hurry because Frida and Judy are only there until May 4th!
After you delight yourself in the art, head over to the museum store and shop a beautifully curated selection of items including one of a kind beaded jewelry made in collaboration with the Jenipapo Kanindé indigenous artisans from my hometown in Brazil, Art Every Where t-shirts made by yours truly, and the limited edition completely hand made leather convertible crossbody bag designed by me and handmade by master artisan Dona Idinha, also in my hometown.
The leather bags are numbered and only 10 were made, without any sewing machines, completely by hand by a master craftslady elder.
You’re welcome! 😊 .chicago
