The kitchen was transformed in both materials and layout from an "l-shaped" work area to a long linear space to allow the bar to move from across the room to be more engaged with the main gathering spaces.

Yet another angle of the same space. We replaced the series of arched top French doors with a multi-slide system to allow in more natural light during the day. The color palette transformed from dark stained wood and stained concrete floors to muted creams, whites and grays. Partition walls that divided the space were removed to open up the kitchen, living and dining to promote gathering.

Here's an interior "Before and After" of the Spanish-style home transformed into a new modern home. We removed all the faux beam work that "weighted down" the space. All of the old "Spanish" details were also taken away in favor of a more streamlined crisp feeling with a muted color palette.

We don't often work on remodel projects, but this was one we couldn't pass up - transforming a Spanish style home to something more "Sage style"...modern! The exterior transformation required that we make "minimal moves" to give a hint at the new interior space. Here's a Before and After of the front entry courtyard.

For the past 6 years we have been quietly working on the development of a new winery in El Dorado County. It is still not open to the public, but is slated to open in 2019. We thought we'd share some of the elements now completed - a beautiful pavilion set within a lake, and an open air amphitheater carved into the hillside amongst the trees. Drawings are almost completed for the remodel of an existing building which will house a small Tasting Room. And the roses are beginning to grow up the 150' long rebar rose arbor we designed within the vineyard. The property includes walking trails with beautiful natural plantings as well. It is truly a magical site and we cannot wait to introduce it more formally in 2019!

Our Neo Farmhouse project is featured in today's Wall Street Journal article about loft spaces. We always loved this loft space, with its views out to the surrounding countryside. It also offers great views to the home's main great room space with its soaring ceilings. A rustic yet modern space that combines exposed steel, reclaimed wood and plaster walls.
