I just took these pictures at one of our full-scale Sacramento home remodels after we painted the brick (almost all) and it turned out so well! As part of the architectural and interior design, we added a subtle shed dormer addition to the 2nd-floor primary suite—bringing more light, better headroom, and beautiful proportion to the façade. Inside, we reimagined the layout for flow in several areas of the home—space planning that supports how this family truly lives.

Over the next few weeks and months, we’ll share the behind-the-scenes: layout moves that unlocked square footage, a deep dive into our finish selections, and the details that turn a house into a haven. One of the biggest question in each kitchen remodel or new built home: how are we going to design that hood?! This example by .8 remains one of my all-time favorites. It’s classic - leaning traditional but easily paired with modern cabinets and furniture. What do you think? Would you like this? How do you an all-tile wall and hood? And, how do feel about cabinets that don’t go all the way to the wall?

I am celebrating the last few days of the year with some design throwbacks. I’ve been reflecting on the interiors that inspired me most this year and what I want to focus on in the next year - both professionally and personally. Starting off with this one because colors and especially moody colors have been a big design shift this past year for me and the interior design world in general. This year’s fall vibes rolled right into the winter for me. I can only imagine how good a Christmas tree would look in here 🎄🙌

🌟 Exciting news from NYC! Our latest project is in full swing, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the progress. 🙌 The beams are up, allowing us to place more (and better) lighting. Since the picture was taken, we added beautiful new wood flooring that’s already bringing so much warmth to the space.

Next up: fresh paint, a stunning kitchen transformation, and new furniture pieces. We can’t wait to see it all come together! Stay tuned for more progress – this is going to be a space to remember. 🖤
