Houseplant 101 Houseplant Care Guide Plants have become a become a serious passion of mine within the past couple years. I look forward to getting to know you!

I enjoy watching them grow and solving problems that come up. I enjoy spending time outdoors in nature, probably why I’ve brought it inside! Plants have provided an outlet for my mental health, keeping me focused, paying attention and grounded. I appreciate all of the people who have already reached out to say hi and ask me questions that challenge my knowledge.

My collection has tripled in size since my last move, 12 months ago, and it’s a real pain in the butt to move plants but we did it again! Now that we’ve bought our home, hopefully we won’t have to do this again for a while!

I’ve been a little MIA and it’s just because I’ve got so much going on right now! We’re moving into our first home soon and to answer some FAQs:
• YES there will be a plant room.
• No, there will not be a sunroom...yet at least 😉
• “But why are you moving?” - Because I’m renting and my lease is up. I’m honestly so tired of landlords and we were so lucky to have finally purchased our first home.
• “Are you scared to move the plants?” - Hell yes I am! I’ve never had so many to move before nor so many big ones so it will be a slow and methodical process, tbh I prefer to not think about it until I have to actually do it.

Shoutout to .daddy.co for my new Alocasia Dragon Scale! We got some exciting plans in the works so give them a follow and stay tuned!

But a little pruning can go a long way! This is one of my variegated maranta and it needed some love. 🌱

It’s my B I R T H D A Y ! 🥳
Which means it’s been a year since I got my Thai Constellation cutting! My husband got me this cutting last year after I told him that I’d love a variegated monstera someday. This cutting was a huge risk, I was just beginning experimenting with propagation and hadn’t done much more than some pothos previously. But here we are a year later, I finally have the variegated monstera of my dreams!
This is by far my favorite plant in my collection. Growing it from having no roots to a full-fledged plant has been extremely rewarding. And she even gave me the most spectacular new leaf last week with big splotches of white and mid-rib fenestrations!
Check out my “Thai Story” highlight to see her a year ago!
