🤓 Who was the inventor of the method of building wooden houses?
According to historical records, the method is attributed to two people: Augustine Taylor and George Washington Snow, around 1832, in Chicago where the first building with a balloon frame was built.

At the end of the 19th century, Chicago factories began to mass produce buildings with pre-cut frames.
Advantages of wood:

Wood is cheap and accessible, which has allowed building a home to be cheaper, especially in suburban areas. The balloon frame proposes the construction of a lighter house, which is why it became tremendously popular in North America.
