I was talking with a client this morning, and it really sank in again just how important transparency is in the quoting process.

When I give someone a quote, I break it down line by line so they can clearly see where their money is going. It also gives them flexibility—if they need to bring the price down to fit their budget, they can add or remove certain items and immediately see how that affects the total.

If your contractor isn’t willing to provide a line-item quote, it might be worth getting a quote from someone who will. That way you understand exactly where your money is going, and you also know how much you could save by adjusting certain parts of the project if needed.

 new work week commencing!!

latest project going, complete demo of a bathroom, removing toilet, the shower and the vanity locations to make a more usable open space

another bathroom almost done!!

this started as a storage room - the client gave us a drawing she made - and we brought the drawing to life!!

we had some unexpected things pop up with this one (waterproofing) but have been able to keep the job moving along!!

contractor by day, pretend musician by night! lol. in all seriousness, i missed my piano

5 1/2 days.

demoed 300 sq ft of tile and mud board, self leveled the floor

laid the new tile

demoed a .6’ wide stairway - made, routed, sanded stained and varnish the treads

installed treads, risers abd handrails

demoed carpet on 42” wide staircase, sanded, stained and varnished the treads - and installed treads and risers

we worked (Benjamin Joseph Jacob Cristoforo) 73 hours and KILLED it

Jacob was awesome and pulled his own weight

one of the rare ones in the younger generation
