Hey friends!!!!!

Have you all been wondering where I've been?
I'm still here!

I thought I might just give you an update.

I have been taking a break last summer and this summer. This break was needed because of my bad back as well as dad having a stroke last July and is still currently paralyzed on his left side, and oh yeah, I also had a baby. She's 7 months now. Luna.

When I was 19 (16 years ago) someone rear ended my car, while I was in it. I suffered from 3 bulging discs. Things have changed over the years.
The pain has significantly gotten worse, especially over the last 2 years. So bad, I have been unable to work in my clients gardens, or my own. It's been a very sad time for me, as I love flowers and making beautiful spaces with flowers.

I started hundreds of 6 packs of flower's to put in my gardens, to make beautiful bouquets, but never got them in the ground. I have so much work to do cleaning my gardens, that I can't put any of my starts in them. So I didn't. My back will not allow it.They died on my porch. (I'm lucky if I can stand long enough to do my dishes)

Here we are today, and I've been seeing a spine specialist for a couple months. Over the years I've tried physical therapy, the chiropractor and even injections, 2 weeks ago. None work. The pain is so bad, I'm laying down for more than half the day, as sitting, standing, bending, lifting and twisting cause so much pain.

Yesterday I had my appointment for a back surgery consultation. I was afraid this day would come, but I'm ready. It's needed. I need it. I need my life back.

I'm waiting for the doctor to call me back with the official date, but it's happening.
I'm getting a L4-L5 fusion as well as a L5-S1 fusion. Hopefully that will get pressure off my nerves from the disc and stabilize the 2 vertebrae that are moving aound independently, when I bend over as well as help the arthritis that has caused some havoc in there too.

The doctor thinks I will be back to my gardening ways and ready to go, by spring.

Come January I will start making planting videos of the 6 pack starts.
I will have tulips come spring.
I hope to offer gardening services and well as my bouquets.

I can't wait to get back to gardening and creating beauty.

I will hopefully be making jewelry this winter.(I need to find a good source for earring hooks. Let me know if you know of one.)

I dug up some of my dahlia tubers last fall. I stored them in the basement. I put them in this large tote and peat moss.
This year is the best the tubers have held up. They are still firm and did not dry out, AT ALL.
Anyone who gardens, and does this with their dahlia tubers, they know it's a huge success to have them in such great shape after overwintering them.
A lot of the tubers, I grew from seed last year, which is another great success!

This gardening season is going to be great. I can just feel it. 😊
