Today, opening the shop was a little more special than most mornings, today I opened it 25 years to the day that I did it for the first time ever, 5/9/01.

I want to take this space to just say thank you to everyone who has supported us in those 25 years. I hope the next 25 are just as much fun.

I was 28 when my Pop and I started digging holes to put up the fence. My dear friend and surrogate uncle, Tony Ashworth, was right there with us as well. He’s still with me here today.

The level of gratitude I have for you guys is something I just can’t get across with words. I’ve known since I was 7 that I wanted to make statues. My parents knew a family at Lake Of The Ozarks who did it and the first time I saw their operation, I knew it was what I wanted to do. They loaned us four molds in 1979, three of which, I still use today. Without you, I’d have no reason to use them at all.

I announced the upcoming opening in March 2001 at the Flower Show at Civic Arena. I had a booth there filled with everything I could fit. Opening a business was scary and I wanted to make a good first impression. I’ve mentioned it before, but I’ll never forget this one man who stopped and asked about my stuff. He said “22nd & Mitchell? That’s a hole in the ground. You’ll never sell statues or anything else there.” - How ya like me now, man?

We have at least one piece in all 50 states and in the gardens of some really amazing people; Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top, Charlie Benante from Anthrax, Loretta Lynn, and more. One of the most special though, is in upstate NY with Anne Serling, daughter of Rod Serling, whose work I named my business after. Most importantly though, you. All of you.

It’s been a ride and it’s kept us in tacos. I’ve made some wonderful friends and I feel like we’ve touched some lives. People say the most amazing things and I wouldn’t trade any of it. Thank you for allowing me to do the only thing I know how to do well. The thing I, for some reason, have to do…. Making concrete frogs.

I love you for enabling my dream.
I love you for the support.
I love you for the kind words.
I love you for making Twilight Gardens real.

Bless your hearts.
Let’s go for 50, wanna?

With sincere appreciation,
All my best,
Todd

Hello, my friends and welcome to Springtime! I'm very proud to present the Class Of 2026! Over 30 brand new designs that I hope you enjoy. I worked hard this winter to be able to offer these to you and I truly hope they make you smile.

Winter was short and I have even more new things in various stages of completion that I hope to be able to finish as the year goes on. The new stuff always makes me happy to reveal and it's become a favorite thing of mine to do. You guys are always so very supportive and I just couldn't hope for more in my customers than you fine folks have shown me for so long. You've blessed me and I just cannot thank you enough, sincerely.

If anyone has any questions or would like to order anything, please do so in a private message to the shop page here, or by calling/texting 816-364-4808, (Not in the comments, please, it's just easier to keep track of.) I'll sure get back to you asap.

Being able to offer these, and all our designs, to you is still a huge source of happiness for me and I thank you, so much, as always for enabling me to do so. I just couldn't do it without you.

I hope this finds you well and happy. I consider you friends, the people who allow me to do what I love. Cheers to you and yours.

Love & Respect,
Todd

My favorite things to paint each year. The gate signs that signify making it through. I want to thank each and every one of you for continuing to support my weird dream of making statues and hopefully, making folks happy.

It’s all I know. It’s all I want to do. I couldn’t do it without you. I sincerely appreciate your business, your patience, and your kindness. You’ve no idea how much i appreciate it.

It’s been a challenging year in which I had very little help. It was the first year that I did most everything alone. Not by choice, it’s just how the chips fell. We made it though and I’m just glad you guys stuck with me.

There were some orders that I wasn’t able to finish. I promise I haven’t forgotten you. The clock and calendar simply revolted on me at times. All outstanding orders will be worked through after we get back in January and I sincerely apologize if anything I missed, caused any problems. No matter what, I WILL make it right with you.

I’ve got some really cool new things coming for 2026. I just can’t stop. I just won’t stop. Winter is the time for making them real and I love it so much.

I hope this finds you well and happy. Hopefully surrounded by your people and a big, giant, spicy trainload of good food. I wish you all the best.

I love you for allowing me to do what I do and I don’t take a single one of you for granted. Never have, never will.

Happiest holidays from us. We’re going to let the callouses heal a bit and enjoy wearing clothes that aren’t covered in paint for a couple weeks. Then, we’ll be back on 1/9 to do it all again.

God bless you.
Happiest holidays.
Laugh as much as possible.
Listen to good music.
Gravy like there’s no tomorrow.
Be good to one another.

With love and respect,
Todd

In the middle of the most challenging year at work I’ve ever had, some days are easier to navigate than others. The work isn’t scary, but the stress is. Today was one of those “how am I ever going to get this done” ones until a large package from California showed up. Totally unexpected.

I’ve included a photo of the note on the package and then what was inside it. What an amazing, thoughtful thing to do. I am floored and humbled by the kindness and the fact that someone so far away, in my favorite place on earth, still had the old corner here on their mind.

Thank you so much for the gift. And for reminding me that I’m here for a purpose, no matter how much stress folks lay on me, it’s worth it.

Hello friends and welcome to summer! Wanted to take a second and thank you for another busy spring. Lots of folks are inquiring about their order status and I don’t blame you. I lost my help between Mother’s and Memorial Days. It’s left me to do all the manufacturing/painting parts by myself, where as I normally spend most of my days just painting. I’ve been working nights and early mornings trying to get as much done as possible but I am farther behind than I’d planned and hoped. I am 100% in a pickle here.

In almost 25 years, this is the first springtime that I’ve not had help and I promise I’m doing my best. All I ask is that you’re patient with me. Everything is on the way, I’m just moving as fast as my hands will allow.

I have new help scheduled to begin next week and am hoping that will make a difference too, just have to get him trained.

Thank you for sticking with me. I will get every order filled and every one of them will be made with the same care and quality I’ve always insisted on from myself. Everyone has been super great about this and I appreciate that so much. I’ve said before, the work doesn’t scare me, but disappointing people does. I’ll sure get you fixed up. Just hang in there with me, that’s all I ask.

I hope this finds you all well and having a good year. I’ll talk to you soon.

Love and respect,
Todd

Hello friends. It came to my attention this morning that someone has actually made a fake page for my shop and is trying to sell things to people. Even using copies of my posts. This is absolutely NOT ME and I’m cautioning everyone about it.

We NEVER take payment until you pick up your order here, at the shop, in person. I’d especially never reach out to people trying to sell them things. That’s just not how we do it here. It’s been reported and hopefully can be taken down. Just remember “Twilight” is not plural, there’s only one 🙂

Have a good day and I hope you all are well.

Hello Friends! Welcome to springtime! I'd like to present to you, the CLASS OF 2025! It made winter fun getting these all ready to show you. I'm proud of them and proud to say we can offer them to you now.

Thank you, so much, as always, for supporting us and allowing me to do what I do. I have more fun than I can describe coming up with new things to show you and new things to offer from our little corner. Without you, none of it could happen.

PLEASE READ: If you have any questions or would like to order any of these, please do so in a message to the shop page here, or by texting or calling the shop number (816) 364-4808. Please do that instead of in comments on the photos as it's just much easier to keep track of that way. I'll sure get back to you asap.

I'm grateful to all of you for everything over the years. For the kind words, for your business, and for helping me purchase the never-ending stream of tacos required to keep me going. I'll never take it for granted.

Much love from midtown.
I truly hope you enjoy these!
Have fun.

With gratitude,
Todd

For over 20 years on this day, I’ve made a tradition of pranking the guys at John’s Quick L**e with my sign. “Free Beer At The Quick L**e”, telling folks that they’d sing a song to you with every oil change, etc., on and on. We’ve been great friends since the beginning and they’ve had my back every step. They’d sometimes return the favor in July by sending a bottle rocket or two my way. I love em and they’re good guys.

Last week we lost John. He was my friend and did me more favors than I’ll ever be able to repay. He always helped me when I needed it and I hope he felt the same. Ditto for all the guys there. I bet he may have done something for you too. So there’s no free beer today, but if you’re around, let them know you remember, please.

His son Jonathan took over and they’re rolling right along. Please support them and help keep our little corner of midtown hopping. Our 4/1 tradition will continue as long as I’m able to climb a ladder. Maybe next year they’ll be called on to sing to you again. Today though, honk for a good man and a good friend. Thank you a million.

The last two things I paint every year, the gate signs, and every year, they make me overwhelmed with gratitude. Today is no different.

I’d like to thank you all for giving us another year in the sun. Another year allowing me to earn a living doing what I love to do. As hectic and stressful as it can get sometimes, I still love it the same way I did as a kid and you guys enable me to have that.

I appreciate all your business and patience and mostly, the kind words and support. I just couldn’t do it without you, as always, without you guys, I’d have to get a real job.

I hope this finds you well and smiling, getting to hang with family and friends. Lots of you will be unwrapping things that came from my j***y little corner of the world - I love thinking about that. We sent things all over the country this year, I love thinking about that too. It’s a good thing. Even got a statue to Rod Serling’s daughter in the fall. Something I’ll never forget as I named the business after his work and influence on me.

Happiest of holidays to everyone. I hope we took care of you this year, if we somehow didn’t, just let me know and we will make it right. I’m not perfect in the making mistakes category, but in the making them right department, I can’t be beaten.

Already have great new designs lining up for 2025, my favorite thing to do. Hang with me and we will have great fun together next year!

Much love and gratitude from Midtown.
I mean that more than you can imagine.

Cheers to you, bless you,
Todd

Hey guys! Wanted to take a second and thank you all so much for what’s already been a great spring for us. I appreciate it so very much. As usual, we are overwhelmed and doing our best to get your things to you. I promise I will. The work doesn’t ever scare me, it’s how I was raised. Disappointing people does scare me though and I don’t want that, ever. All I ask is for you to be patient with me.

Between the never-ending rain and my adherence to the standards of quality I’ve set for every piece we make, we are running behind. I promise I’m doing my level best and working as many hours as my old bones allow. I need you all and couldn’t do it without you. Bless you for the opportunity. I WILL satisfy every single person with the best work possible, I just need time to make it so, between the daily unavoidable obstacles that line up to keep me from doing it any faster.

My gratitude to you as always, more than you know. I will be talking to you soon, I promise. All the best to you!
