Welcome to Wheelhouse. ⁠

Our latest ADU is perfectly sized for life on two wheels with color and character aplenty. As avid cyclists, our clients wanted to reimagine their garage to better suit their needs and lifestyle. They chose to orient the space around their bikes rather than cars, with a small street-facing bike workshop and additional storage in a second-floor attic. By scaling down the garage, they were able to create a complete living unit on the other side of structure. ⁠

Pondside is now featured in the Star Tribune as a 2025-26 Home of the Month!⁠

After living in their home for over 44 years, the Clients were ready for an upgrade that allowed for aging in place alongside their neighborhood community and peaceful backyard pond. We were tasked with creating one-level living, incorporating key functionalities and increased connection to the surrounding scenery through a 14-foot addition.⁠

'After' and 'Before' at Pondside 🌿⁠
⁠
This remodel and addition added 14 feet to the existing 1980s home, connecting the kitchen to the living, dining, and backyard spaces. The stairs, immediately adjacent to the front entry, feature a powder-coated steel railing and tall wooden slats to highlight the verticality of the stairwell while offering a view of the kitchen.⁠
