Saint Paul neighbors: Register by May 11 to receive a free tree!

Trees have the power to cool your home, lower your energy costs, raise your property values, and improve the health and beauty of your neighborhood. That’s why we’re providing residents living in qualifying areas with a free tree to plant in their yard!

Eligible residents who have registered can pick up trees on May 28th at Battle Creek Recreation Center from 3-5pm. Visit greatrivergreening.org/grgfreetree to find out if you’re eligible and for more details.

Cleaning Common Milkweed. I have found this to be the most efficient way. I cleaned 20k seeds in 5 hours this way.

First seed collection and cleaning of the year! Rose Milkweed. It has really cool purple/green leaves and starts with one stem and than branches out. It kind of reminds me of Dr Seuss trees. Monarch caterpillar currently on one of my plants!

Rose Milkweed isn't an aggressive Milkweed since new plants come through seed and not through rhizomes.
