Hello everyone! We haven’t had a lot of activity at the house because our hands are strapped financially. We aren’t investors, we aren’t flippers, and this house just happened to fall on our lap so we did what we could financially in the last 8 months to get it where it’s at piece by piece….We are making progress and SO excited to hopefully get financial support from Hillsborough County soon enough! This project certainly has taught us patience, and to be still 🙏🏻

Trevor Seiders of New Light Restoration won the very first Maureen Stafford Excellence in Preservation Award this year! Inspired by his own renovations of a 1945 bungalow, Trevor attended window workshops offered by Wood Window Makeover of Tampa and honed his restoration skills under the mentorship of Alec Smith of Boone Architectural Restoration LLC. Since embarking on his own in 2018, the company has saved over 700 windows from the landfill and worked with 60 local homeowners in the St. Pete/Tampa Bay area. Back to that rotten casement. I did a Dutchman repair with a whole new rail and partial stile.
It was a fun project to do. It was only about 3 hours on the bench for the wood repairs. Could I have made a new on all together. Yes but it’s also humbling to test your skills!
