husband + wife interior stylist
styling sessions for the home + office

It was a case of serendipity when Allie and Ben met in art history class at Texas State University in 2003, they both shared a deep love and appreciation for art and design……..and eventually each other. They married in Salado in 2008 and began living their dream….and as they say, the rest is history! After exploring retail sales with a focus on interior furnishings and art, they moved back to Alli

e’s hometown of Belton, Texas. With Allie’s intuition and eye for design and Ben’s artistic ability and knack for building everything and anything, they have created their own sweet spot as a design duo. For nearly a decade they have cultivated a unique design business that ranges broadly from custom painted furniture to fashion and food truck design and builds. Throw in commercial brick and mortar design and over 750 restyle sessions for the home, it would be an understatement to say that they’re living their best lives and helping others do the same, one room at a time! Allie and Ben specialize in everything from single-day restyle sessions to large-scale design projects. They focus on the space as a whole and work diligently to incorporate the client’s lifestyle and sentimental objects while breathing new life into the space. Allie and Ben live in the little Village of Salado, Texas with their children, Indiana, Apple, and Lief. They love Jesus, their community and creating a life full of color.

Same room. Same incredible built-ins. Same furniture.

But add a few intentional pieces—art, lighting, greenery, books, accessories, texture—and suddenly the whole space comes alive.

Styling isn’t about filling every shelf or buying a room full of new things. It’s knowing what to add, what to move, what to edit, and where your eye needs to land.

A great rug.
The right art.
A killer lamp.
A little greenery.
Objects with personality.
And a whole lot of layering.

The bones were already good. We just gave them a pulse.

You don’t always need a new room. Sometimes you just need the FINAL LAYER. ⚡️

That’s the power of styling

LONG LIVE CHILDHOOD. 🦒💙

This playroom/guest room is all about whimsy without sacrificing style.

We fell hard for the giraffe motif and carried it throughout the space—from the playful giraffe print blowing a bubble, to the oversized stuffed giraffe that brings a little unexpected magic into the room.

And that spotted rug?! It’s the piece that ties it all together. A subtle nod to the giraffe pattern without feeling themed or overly “kid.” Add in soft blues, gingham curtains, cozy textures and tons of storage, and suddenly you have a room that feels playful, polished and completely happy.

Because kids’ spaces should still feel beautifully designed…
but they should never take themselves too seriously. 🦒✨

THE POWER OF A RUG. 🔥

Never. Underestimate. The. Rug.

A rug doesn’t just finish a room—it can completely change the energy of it.

It anchors. It defines. It layers in texture, color, pattern, dimension…and in our primary bedroom, a whole lotta GOODNESS.

We waited THREE MONTHS for this beauty to arrive, and she was worth every damn day. 😍

Moral of the story: GO BIG ON THE RUG.
Your room will thank you. ✌️🔥

A little labor. A whole lotta love. 🤍

We build. We paint. We haul furniture. We climb ladders. We shop, style, hang, rearrange…and occasionally move the same chair 14 times. 😂

But somewhere along the way, we were lucky enough to turn being artists into a living.

And when you get to spend your days creating beautiful spaces, working alongside people you love, and making things with your own two hands…work doesn’t always feel much like work.

Today we’re extra grateful for the hands, hearts, artists, makers, builders and dreamers who make beautiful things happen.

Happy Labor Day from Guenther Design Group.
Here’s to doing work you love

SIGHT LINES MATTER. 👀✨

What’s the first thing you see when you walk into a room?

Because whether you realize it or not, that first view sets the tone for the entire space.

BEFORE → the sight line landed directly on a large television. Functional? Absolutely. Inviting? Not exactly.

AFTER → we simply rethought the furniture placement and turned that same bay of windows into a sweet little moment. A vintage chaise, layered textiles, beautiful art, soft curtains, greenery and a little ambient light now greet you when you enter.

The TV is still there. We didn’t eliminate function—we just stopped letting it be the star of the room.

Good design isn’t always about buying more or changing everything. Sometimes it’s about looking at what you already have differently.

Your eye should land somewhere beautiful.

And THAT is the power of a good sight line. 🤍

ONE. DAY. 🤯

Yep. This entire bedroom transformation happened in a single day.

We met our clients at 9:00 AM, spent about 30–45 minutes walking the space, talking through what wasn’t working, what they already owned, and where we wanted to take it.

Then Ben and I hit the ground running.

We shopped. We sourced. We hauled. We installed. We styled.

A new rug. New bedding. Layers of pillows and textiles. Curtains. Art. Lighting. Accessories. We hung the TV. Reworked pieces they already owned. And somewhere in the middle of all of that, we found the most incredible vintage chaise on Facebook Marketplace, met the seller, loaded it up, brought it back and gave it a whole new life in that beautiful window nook.

By the end of the day, they had a completely different bedroom.

And THIS is why we love our styling sessions.

You don’t always need months of design meetings, a house full of brand-new furniture, or a massive renovation. Sometimes you need the right eyes, a little creativity, a truck, a very fast-moving husband-and-wife team 😂… and one really productive day.

We take what you have, figure out what’s missing, and pull it all together into a home that feels collected, layered and completely YOU.

Morning ➡️ evening.
Same room. Same day. Whole different feeling.

That’s the GDG magic. ✨

A super cool acrylic painting by Allie's dad, C.R. HEBERT, “Chief takes a smoke break” has been hanging around with us for a bit. It's from way back in 1989. And, if our house was on fire burning this would be the one piece I would grab, for sure.
