⛳ What a fantastic day on the course at the Southern NH Chamber of Commerce's 2026 Annual Classic Golf Tournament!

RWH Architect was proud to serve as the Longest Drive Sponsor and spend the day connecting with fellow business leaders, community members, and golf enthusiasts.

At our tent, golfers participated in a fun design challenge: Which home design do you like best? We showcased three custom home concepts from the exciting new Whistle Hill development, overlooking Campbell's Scottish Highlands Golf Course.

After plenty of discussion and votes, House #2 emerged as the clear favorite!

To celebrate, we combined all contest entries into one raffle and selected a lucky winner who took home:
🏌️ A range finder
⛳ A box of golf balls
🎒 An RWH travel mug
🧢 An RWH Architect hat

Owner Rob enjoyed a great day of the course with Jeff Ozella from Performance Painting & More, Phil Thibault from Philippe Thibault Architect, LLC, and Attorney Pete Smith of Touchstone Closing & Escrow, LLC.

Project Spotlight: Pica's Pub & Grill | Methuen, MA

After an electrical fire damaged the former Common Grounds Café, the owners of Pica’s Pub & Grill saw an opportunity to rebuild and reimagine their family-run restaurant. The challenge for RWH Architects was to transform the existing 2,100 SF footprint—originally a café and lottery counter—into a fully functioning neighborhood pub with a commercial kitchen, bar, and inviting dining space.

The design focused on maximizing efficiency within a tight layout while creating a strong sense of atmosphere and identity. A custom 17-seat bar anchors the space, supported by a 48-seat dining area carefully arranged for flow and comfort. Existing structural elements were embraced and elevated, with stone-wrapped columns, stained concrete floors, exposed brick, and seven timber trusses defining the interior character.

The result is a warm, industrial-inspired restaurant that balances functionality with an inviting neighborhood feel—turning a constrained rebuild into a refreshed community destination.

Whistle Hill Lot 2 | A Bold Expression of Modern Living

We are excited to share the completion of Whistle Hill Lot 2, one of the most architecturally ambitious homes within the development and a striking example of design innovation by RWH Architect.

Defined by its dramatic butterfly roof and a refined composition of horizontal cladding, vertical accents, and expansive window groupings, this residence creates a sculptural presence that feels both contemporary and timeless. The design embraces light, volume, and long views—establishing a new architectural language for modern living in the region.

Inside, the home is thoughtfully organized around connection and livability. A sunken great room with a floating fireplace serves as a signature centerpiece, framed by soaring ceilings and direct access to expansive outdoor living spaces. The kitchen, dining, and great room flow seamlessly onto a wraparound deck and lower patio, blurring the line between indoor comfort and outdoor experience.

The first-floor master suite is privately positioned with views to the backyard, while additional bedrooms and flexible spaces provide comfort for family and guests. Upstairs, secondary bedrooms open to visual connections across levels, enhancing the sense of openness throughout the home.

This project also presented unique architectural challenges—from the structural demands of the butterfly roof to the integration of expansive glazing while maintaining privacy and performance, as well as the engineering precision required for the sunken great room and floating fireplace. Each was resolved through careful coordination and design refinement.

Whistle Hill Lot 2 stands as a defining statement within the development—forward-thinking, refined, and unapologetically modern. A home designed not just to be lived in, but experienced.
