I took the opportunity during the spotty weather to build a fence at my house. This one was definitely a first with the faux house front built mostly from reclaimed materials. We will soon be adding raised beds in front of the fence as well as some wall mounted pots and tiki torches attached to the fence.

Presto chango! Out with the 4' tall chain link and in with 6' tall cedar privacy fence. I am becoming a huge fan of these gate kits. The the black powder coated steel frame paired with the cedar tongue and groove boards and the black aluminum posts looks awesome. For some added flair this gate has the optional arch and rectangular insert installed! My customers are happy which makes me happy!

New cedar privacy fence and gates. Fence is a 3 rail with all pressure treated rails and posts. The 6' dog eared cedar fence boards are 5/8" premium boards attached to the frame with exterior grade screws. I don't use any nails or staples on my fences.

The gates have a steel frame that the cedar tongue and groove boards float inside of. The gates are hung from and latch to 3" square aluminum posts. The look is very clean and the gate frames/posts won't rot or twist like wooden posts. The gates are very stout! Both my customers and I could not be happier with how the gates turned out!

More ice storm fence replacements. This one was a huge back yard. Over 270 feet of fencing for just one side and across the back with four different neighbors.

The side fence is a mixture of 6ft good neighbor built in front of an existing block retaining wall and 8ft good neighbor with a built in 2ft pressure treated 2x6 retaining wall.

The back fence is good old privacy fence with flat top pickets that had to curve a bit to miss one tree and be built up to both sides of another large tree on the property line.

All of my fences are built with pressure treated posts set in concrete, pressure treated 2x4 rails (4 rails on 8ft and 3 rails on 6ft) and tight knot cedar fence boards all held together with exterior grade screws. That's right, no nails or staples used on my fences. Contact me for a free estimate for your fence, or any other work you need done!

This fence is topped with all cedar heavy duty lattice panels for a custom touch. Same construction as my privacy fences using pressure treated framing, cedar fence boards and screws for fasteners!

Part of the fun of being a Handyman is getting to do a variety of jobs! This garage was in some serious need of rot repair. After removing all the rot and treating the wood to prevent more, a fresh layer of T1-11 siding and some new trim made this garage look good as new!
