Mid-America Garden is a Bearded Iris Nursery that introduces Tall Bearded, Border Bearded, Miniature Tall Bearded, Intermediate Bearded, Standard Dwarf Bearded, Miniature Dwarf Bearded, and Arilbred introductions by Thomas Johnson, Paul Black, Lynda Miller and Barry Blyth in Salem, Oregon and is on the same location as Sebright Garden which specializes in Hostas, Ferns, and Epimediums.

Take A Look (T. Johnson '23). Ruffled, tall and dark with great growth and stems. This always a dependable performer in our fields.

Storm Burst (T. Johnson '23) This plicata has incredible stems that are always show quality. Strong growth and branching and a very showy pattern.

We Are Magic (T. Johnson '24) A very showy iris in the fields each year. Good stems, buds, branching and growth. For hybridizers out there it is a very interesting breederand will be in the parentage of some pretty unique varieties here at Mid-America Garden in the future.

Tropical Breeze (T. Johnson '20) This one has a very unique and hard to describe color . One of those combinations that pulls you closer every time for inspection. Really if you break it down it is pink standards with a yellow band. Falls are a bit. more of a blended pink with a lemon edge . Good strong stems and buds give it a longer bloom period. This is an early to midseason variety.

Vivid Sunset (T. Johnson '23) A fun combination of colors on this one. It is an easy grower with strong increase. Good bud count and stems as well. Vivid Sunset is a pretty early variety to start the season.

Marry The Night (T. Johnson '17) This is an incredible iris both in the garden and on the show bench. It can easily have 12 to 15 buds on wide well branched stems. The wide and solid mulberry purple band on the falls is intensely saturated. This iris simply never fails to delight year after year.

Sending Love (T. Johnson '22) This beautiful gal graced the cover of the catalogue in 2022 and it is easy to see why!! She was stunning this year in our fields

Suggestion (T. Johnson '25). This early variety really knows how to brighten the field and kick start bloom. It is very flashy and bright with vigorous growth combined with lots of buds on strong stems.

Super Sized (T. Johnson '23). Very wide, ruffled and huge flowers on well branched stems. Always impressive in the fields.

Falcon Heart (T. Johnson '25) Wow! This one stopped me in my tracks in the fields this year, very large and dramatic flowers. It really put on a show.
