Our Master Gardeners are experimenting and learning!🌱
Annette taught us about the seed snail seed starting method. Debbie is experimenting with a new way to plant tiny seeds (lettuce, carrots, etc). Rhonda brought in a tool for seed spacing in a 1 square foot space.
It’s almost that time of the year! Excited for next months meeting.

The February Fulton County Master Gardener meeting was a success! Thank you to Viola Dollar General for donating seeds for the seed swap.🌱
Our Master Gardeners have officially started a seed library at the Extension Office for any 4-H member who wants to start a garden project.🍀

Each year the Spring River Gem & Mineral Club awards an individual/couple who have contributed something special through their service to the club.

The 2025 recipients of the Rockhound of the Year are Carla and Michael Quataert, who live in Salem. During their 20 years of membership to the SRGMC, they have acted as officers, given presentations, attended field trips, and donated a television set on which power point presentations can be shown. They are quick to volunteer to help wherever they are needed. They have shared their enthusiasm for the club and faithfully attended meetings.

🌱New Beautification Project🌱
The Fulton County Master Gardeners have new and exciting plans for 2026 - a new beautification project. We plan to beautify the Salem Square by installing and maintaining planter boxes. The planters will be maintained by Master Gardeners in conjunction with local youth.
