With the Spring weather here and Summer coming shortly, now is the perfect time to have those outdoor home renovation projects done that you've been putting off. It's important to prioritize these kinds of repairs since rotted siding or other such issues can create larger problems down the road. Older homes are often in need of these kinds of repairs. If your house was built in the 1980s-mid 1990s there's a good chance that it has Masonite Siding which is notorious for its' susceptibility to water damage/rot. Another recent job. Client had been given a table top and needed some table legs made for it. So I built some simple but elegant tapered mid-century modern style table legs for the top. Not a professionally produced video lol, but it gives a little glimpse into this project.

Here is one of our recently completed projects. This was quite a bit of work, but was very rewarding to see the finished product. We first replaced some of the rotted plywood roof sheathing. Then we replaced all the existing exterior fascia, soffit, and crown molding with new material. Then we built a porch gable addition, from framing to finish work. We also basically reframed all the interior walls. Now the other crews just need to get it painted and roofed.

Monday's Job. Client is in the process of restoring their early 1900s Craftsman style house. For many years the clapboard and shake siding was covered with asbestos siding which they had professionally removed. Most of the original siding was in pretty good shape but they needed help finishing up installing new cedar shake siding in a few spots.

Going to mix up some lime mortar to repoint some 100 year old brickwork on my house as well as try my hand at some old fashioned wood lathe horse hair plaster.

Thought I'd share some of the progress of our current job we are working at. Last week we got the inside of the house addition all painted, window/door casing/baseboard/shoe molding installed, as well as LVP flooring. Also got some interior walls framed up in what is to be the new bathroom.
