At CANstruction 2026, MHTN teamed up with Resolut and KPFF to transform donated food cans into a large-scale art installation celebrating conservation, community, and serviceโall while helping support the Utah Food Bank.
Inspired by the America 250 theme, the design reflects Utahโs diverse landscapes and honors the National Park Service mission to preserve our natural and cultural heritage for future generations.
The column rises as a symbol of human civilization, with patterns and colors drawn from Utahโs landscapes. Its colors flow and intermingle like time itself, reflecting the many people who have called this land home. At its heart, conservation is an act of hope that preserves what we value and carries it forward to future generations.
As one of eight participating teams, we contributed to a collective effort that used more than 28,000 cans across all installations, all of which will ultimately support the Utah Food Bank.
Thank you to Resolut, KPFF, Salt Lake County and everyone involved in making this meaningful event possible.
