Yesterday I cut lavender, and it was hot all week long. It is ok to cut off the deadheads, but not a very good idea to cut off the wooden parts. I had to cut wooden parts, though, and the intense fragrance and the sticky resin on my scissors was the message of the plants: "Don't go further, please."
