If your laminate flooring planks are getting under the underlayment foam:
You will likely need to install a v***r barrier.

Even if the laminate already has an attached underlayment, especially if you are installing over a concrete subfloor; this is because the attached underlayment might not provide enough moisture protection on its own.

• Check your laminate flooring:
If your laminate already has a pre-attached underlayment, you usually don't need to add additional underlayment, but a v***r barrier might still be necessary depending on your subfloor material.

• Concrete subfloor and moisture:
When installing laminate over a concrete slab, a v***r barrier is often recommended to prevent moisture from rising and damaging your flooring.

• Extra padding can be harmful:
Adding too much padding by installing another underlayment on top of a pre-attached one can stress the locking mechanism of your laminate planks.
