Over the many years of gardening and growing food I've always had water usage in the back of my mind. I tried to always push the limits of how much water we need to grow food, and how to re-use water in rain catchment systems. Still, it always baffled me, changing my front yard to a garden instead of a lawn ends up using more water than a grass lawn. The future will be learning how to balance these and maintain low water usage. Grey water feeds my fruit trees, rain water takes care of some of the garden food and native landscaping. In the end we still use city water, and water will be the next frontier to battle over in our lifetime. Texas is loosing its food growing industries. May productive, and smart solutions prevail.

This weekend, Sunday, may 28th at Noon at 1410 Delaware st. Well give a garden tour to show permaculture methods including rain harvesting, grey water, and how to work with nature instead of against it to yeaild more free time while also having abundance!! $10-20 suggested donation.

Reminder: we are less than a week away from the Naked Gardening Gallery Exhibit. Try to get your photos/art taken this week and printed or enlarged for the show starting on this Friday, May 5th. The deadline for submission is May 5th at 6pm. You can show up from 4-6pm to install, we will provide clips and pins for hanging. Printed paper with no frame is ideal and most simplest but anything is welcome. If you need to drop off the printed photo or art prior to Friday, May 5th then let me know and we can arrange a time for drop off. Let me know if you have any other questions!!
