CAFE Design can be as simple as removing thresholds or transition strips between rooms/flooring changes to eliminate tripping, plugging in sensor night lights into outlets to help navigate through dark areas, adding grab bars to shower back wall or tub entry wall to help maintain balance; widening sidewalks to 5’ so that persons can walk side by side in each direction, installing cut curves at every intersection at home and in public spaces...
Our think group is currently working on finding sources for and/or developing lightweight tools for home, garden and farm use for persons of limited strength and ability.
