Nestled along the San Antonio River at the northern edge of the Pearl District, Cooper's Row North brings new residential living to one of the city's most dynamic urban neighborhoods.

Rialto Studio designed the landscape and streetscape surrounding the six story mixed use development, creating welcoming pedestrian connections, lush planting, site lighting, and outdoor spaces that strengthen the relationship between the building, the River Walk, and the surrounding district.

Completed in 2025, the project reflects a collaborative effort to enhance the public realm while supporting continued growth along the river corridor.

The new dog park at Concepción Park is officially open!

Our team thoughtfully planned the site to keep the park safely separated from active sports fields, while locating it close to ADA-accessible parking for easy access. Because the park sits within a flood zone, we coordinated the design carefully to keep all improvements out of critical drainage areas. In partnership with the San Antonio River Authority , we also added wildflower seeding areas that help naturally filter stormwater before it reaches the San Antonio River.

The park includes shared shade structures, seating, open play areas, shade trees, secure fencing, drinking fountains for both people and pets, and an irrigation system to support long-term landscape health. The result is a safe, welcoming, and sustainable space for pets and the community to enjoy.

Another amazing volunteer event for Rialto. This past weekend, a few of us volunteered at The Cibolo Center for Conservation in Boerne. We helped with spring cleaning efforts and repurposed removed juniper trees into habitat structures for small mammals and rodents native to the Texas Hill Country.

It was a fun, hands-on way to give back and support the work The Cibolo Center for Conservation does to protect local landscapes and wildlife. We’re grateful for the chance to pitch in alongside their team, and we look forward to continuing our partnership and seeing the impact they’re making across the Texas Hill Country.

A project that we are proud to highlight today is the new South Education Center for Pre-K 4 SA. This facility represents an important investment in quality early childhood education for San Antonio’s south-side community. Designed for infants, toddlers, and Pre-K students, the outdoor learning environments encourage children to explore, discover, and engage with the outdoors in dynamic ways.

The design features a variety of elements that support nature-based learning and early childhood development. Sensory play opportunities, gardens, climbing structures, a trike loop, and other imaginative elements work together to create a safe and inspiring environment for students.

Pre-K 4 SA’s core values of Culture, Nature, Inclusion, and Exploration remained at the forefront of our design approach, shaping spaces that are welcoming, enriching, and connected to the community they serve.

A big thanks to everyone we worked with on this amazing project:

Spent yesterday evening at Lake Flato Architects for the opening of Slipstream, the latest ART|LF exhibition featuring Joey Fauerso and Riley Robinson. Two artists, married, sharing a studio for fifteen years, making work that pulls from humor, history, family, and the body. The kind of show that reminds you why proximity to art matters in design work. Always grateful to be part of San Antonio's design and art ecosystem.
