Today’s ribbon cutting for the new gift shop at Methodist Hospital marks another step in creating a more seamless healthcare journey. As the new gift shop opens, the former gift shop location will be transformed into a retail pharmacy allowing patients to pick up prescriptions for home while they are being discharged, bringing essential services together in one convenient destination, all while the hospital continues to care for patients without interruption. Thoughtful planning isn't just about what gets built. It's about improving how people experience care every step of the way.

As San Antonio continues to expand, University Health is investing in the future of care with additional capacity planned for the Palo Alto and Retama hospital campuses before they even open. Designed for flexibility and future growth, these facilities were planned to adapt alongside the needs of the communities they serve, bringing expanded access to care closer to home.
