GOT FRUIT TREES?
Most people with fruit trees say they simply follow the same practices as they do at fruit orchards. That's fine if you understand that fruit orchards are expendable. They don't grow fruit trees for longevity. They grow them for maximum output which eventually kills the tree. Topping kills trees. You hear us say this over and over. If you have ever been to Central California, you will sometimes see plowed up fruit trees that go for miles and miles and miles. That's because they have come to the end of their lives. Their usefulness. New fruit trees will now be planted. A few decades later, same thing. Topping fruit trees makes more fruit. It doesn't make tastier or healthier fruit. Again, eventually killing the tree.

Another milestone tree. These is the Biggest Widest California Pepper we have ever worked in. Sure doesn't look like it in the photo. It's approximately 55 feet tall and 50 feet wide. It was a mess. Too often I forget to take before photos! The reason it looks full on the right side more so then the left is because there are limbs behind limbs behind limbs giving a fuller appearance. To see the whole picture, you must look from the inside of the tree. That's where the beauty of proper tree work happens. Then last but not least, you must go all the way out on the limbs from the middle of the tree. There is no other way. This kind of work cannot be done from a boom/lift and it cannot be done by unprofessionals and uneducated tree services. That's why topping and stubbing prevail.

DID YOU KNOW???? Did you know that most trees fail in the middle of the tree and almost never in the top? Did you know that trees pose the most danger to you while you are in a vehicle and almost never pose a threat when properly pruned/trimmed? Most likely, neither does your tree service.

If your tree service will top (See attached photo on right) your trees, they do NOT know they are endangering your life and or don't care. Some tree services will even ask you to sign a waiver that they aren't responsible for what happens if they top your trees. So basically they are saying, "I'll make your trees dangerous and unstable, but you can't sue me for it." The funny thing about this is that you can't sue them anyways. You are responsible for who you hire.

I think we can all agree that safety would have to be priority Number 1 at Disneyland, would it not? Will you find one tree topped at Disneyland? Never. You will never find a topped tree at Disneyland because safety is priority Number 1 as it should be.

A business license is simply a tax for doing business with the State if California. It offers you no protection whatsoever. Did you know if you hire an unlicensed Contractor, in short, while they work for you, they are considered an employee and have the same rights as an employee? If they are hurt working on your property, you must pay their way until they can return to work. Again, we are not telling you this to earn your business, we are telling you this to protect you. Did you know that you can go to a TEMP AGENCY and hire someone to do work for you? If you hire someone from a TEMP agency, they come complete with workman's comp insurance and state disability insurance? If they are hurt on your property, you are completely covered just as you are if you hire us!

This White Oak was in our previous posts. It's one we have been rebuilding for the past 3 years from a severe mauling. It was winter in the previous posts so we didn't get to show you both how bushy it was from being topped and how beautiful it is in the fall and after being thinned out. You can't really tell by these photos but it is MASSIVE!

TEN YEARS! Fortunately my clients came home in time before this tree service destroyed all their other Oaks! This Oak tree has been in a state of shock and a state of suspended animation for 10 years! It neither grows or dies.
Now, let me show you in the comments what we have done with their other Oaks over the last ten years!

Here's one of those, "make sure they're Licensed And Insured" things I was talking about!! My son James is going to prune a tree in a bee suit!🐝 Note that a bee suit doesn't keep you from getting stung. 🐝 It only helps! 😬 We are employing a bee suit so we can let the bees live because we need them. In this Business we get stung, smacked, slapped, jabbed, poked, prodded, bit, punched, grazed, sliced, cut, bruised and ..........(well you get the ideal) every single day. This is a dangerous occupation! So leave it to the Professionals! 😁🐝😬🐝

Tree Care Company almost hack your trees to death? We can rebuild them! It's a delicate process but it can be done! The magnificent Oak on the left was stripped bare and stubbed out. (White Oaks aren't so beautiful in the fall/winter because the leaves turn a rust color, but beautiful to me nonetheless) Fortunately it survived and after 3 years and 3 restorative and proper pruning sessions, we have a healthy White Oak again. The Gigantic Cottonwood on the right was topped all the way down to the roofline. It now tops out at over 120 feet! This took approximately 6 years to rebuild (once per year) and must be maintained once a year as it is close to power lines. We have been caring for this tree for more than 10 years!

It was "Professional Arborists" who brutally mauled this White Oak tree. However, after 3 years of Pruning once per year, we have restored it almost to it's formal glory. (It's fall so it's not the best time to show off the beauty of this Deciduous tree). We will now leave it alone for 3-5 years minimum. To show you how MASSIVE it is, look for my sons in the tree! It's so wonderful to have a Client willing to invest his hard earned money to restore this tree. He will now reap the rewards of having the most incredible White Oak I have ever seen in Southern California both by Mass and by Aesthetics. Hard to believe anyone would stub out such an amazing tree but most likely, they never even thought of it that way! And that's ok. That's what we are here for!
