My friend stepped throu his rotten Staircase a week ago. You can't buy stringers any more so I made the new ones. I used pressure treated wood. All endgrain 3 coats of zinzer spray primer then next day prime everything w 123 primer 2 coats outside on bench. Then attach stringers to home and Assemble everything. Found alittle dryrot under Sliding door cleaned it all up put propane dryer on it to dry out the wood, took a little over an hour sprayed zinzer primer on it torched it again to dry that next 123 primer then put a primed 1x1 in and used some 30yr roof caulking and star screws. Steps same process then paint w, semigloss. Should last 50 plus yrs. Everyone is happy. All I asked was to never walk on them they're too pretty LOL.

Interesting thing happened at my rental property.
I put up a carbon monoxide, gas detection device in and this was 2 years ago and it kept going off, the tenants kept unplugging it I really couldn't figure out why it kept going off. I've never smelled gas so I called PG&E out and they sent someone out on an emergency basis, it took him like 20 minutes to get here. He looked around, he looked at the carbon monoxide device and he said well it needs a battery otherwise it's going to keep beeping I didn't realize I didn't put a battery in it. The tenants just unplugged it. So he PG&E sniffed around with his machine like $800, and although it was making a lot of noise in some spots he said yeah that's kind of normal and then we got into the cabinets it started really getting loud and he goes oh there we go its showing a little bit of gas now and he kept looking to see where it was coming from. I told him that we are contractors here and did a professional job putting this in so it should not be leaking at all. It turns out somebody was storing m charcoal lighter fluid under the sink there was two bottles and one of them the flip top was open and when he put the device over there it went crazy he goes well here's your problem somebody's storing gas in here, so I fand the cabinet door after I took the charcoal lighter fluid outside he checked it again and said that was it bro we're good now you're covered monoxide machine is working and I'll turn in a note and I'll give you a receipt and that's it thank you so much sir.
I should have known you don't store fuel if any kind in a home. Always outside. Always

So today I did a faucet repair and installed a bode really nice one in Hillsboro, everything went well I fixed a couple of other little things also. After I finished installing the bode plugged it in I went to get the customer to let her have a look see and I walked into the little bathroom she followed and I turned and the lid of the toilet came up by itself we both said wow and I turned and the next thing I knew it went on it started spraying me on my butt while I was standing there lol, the lady started laughing I reached back to block or devirt the water into the toilet and I pushed the off button. We both had a good laugh. I'm still smiling. Customer is very happy, me also. Lol

Installed 2 new sliding door screens yesterday but 1 required me to make a new piece for the frame to lock the door. Works perfect?
