I’ll keep this short and sweet friends - running this business for the last 9 years has been one of the more rewarding experiences of my life. It was not what I planned for my life, but it happened, and I’m so glad it did.

Now, I have an amazing opportunity to be fully present and engaged in my son’s first few years of life, and I cannot do that with the looming responsibilities of this business hanging over my head. So, it’s time for a change

I’m not closing the business completely; the website will stay up and as I have stuff to propagate and add I will, but this will be your last chance to shop in person at Cuffel Farms from my complete inventory, so come take advantage of some great deals!

Oh hello, hope you’re doing well. I’m officially no longer just a plant daddy, I am now an actual Daddy! Our son joined us a month ago and boy are we excited for this new chapter of our lives, however hard it may be. I have a profound new amount of respect for parents, wow!

Wow, you guys really showed up for this sale! Not gonna lie, it was a little overwhelming watching all your orders roll in, at several points I asked myself “what was I thinking running this sale right now??” 😂

Our baby boy is due in 2 weeks. Until then you will find me feverishly packing your orders, and hopefully getting a little sleep. Thank you for your support and patience as I get these out. I’ll be going dark for a while to focus on this beautiful experience, so for now I once more want to say thank you so much for allowing me to do something I love and provide for my family. I love you. Next time you see me I will have graduated from Plant Daddy to Plant Guy/Daddy 👨🏻‍🍼

I obviously have very little presence here these days. Doesn’t mean I don’t love and appreciate you! I really do want to get back to providing useful cultivation information, care tips and troubleshooting for your air plants, as well as sharing fun new ways to design with and display Tillandsias. These were imported as Tillandsia roseiflora, but sadly I think they are a hybrid. Sad because I was really hoping for the true species, but very happy with how cool this plant is. I would actually say the bloom is even better on this than the species

I suspect it’s crossed with T. chapeuensis, but hard to say for sure. I wish there was more transparency in the industry about what things are or are not. It’s okay to say you don’t know! Better than deceptively selling something as one thing when it’s really another. That’s why I try to give clarifying information in my descriptions of plants on the website
