This annual charity event supports the Bannister Family House and La Jolla Family House by providing lodging for families with loved ones in the hospital.

Chasing Light at Loma Linda 💡
We’re thrilled to share a behind-the-scenes look at the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Specialty Clinic. Our latest site visit captured a lighting mock-up of the building’s signature feature: Dichroic glass fins.

These specialized glass elements act as a prism, shifting colors dynamically throughout the day and creating a vibrant “up-lighting” effect at night. While the artistic exterior takes shape, our partners at Layton Construction are making incredible progress on:
• The Building Envelope: Progressing on exterior cladding and rain screen systems.
• The Interior: High-end finishes and architectural lighting are currently being installed.
Everything is moving smoothly and we are on track for a Fall 2026 completion!

As a presenting sponsor of the 33rd Annual Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital Foundation Gala—“Garden of Dreams”—we were proud to stand alongside a community committed to making a meaningful impact.

We’re especially proud to serve as the architects for the new ground-up, five-story, 105,000 SF Pediatric Medical Office Building at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. Designed to house primarily hospital-based pediatric clinics, the facility is thoughtfully planned to foster a healing environment where every child receives compassionate, life-changing care.

Recognized among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report and the Leapfrog Group, Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital continues to set the standard for pediatric care. With construction progressing on schedule, we look forward to welcoming patients and families to this new space in fall 2026.

Huntington Health / Cedars-Sinai Topping-Off Celebration — Pasadena, CA | Nov. 17, 2025 🛞🏗️
Principals Thai Dinh and Joe Mascari proudly joined the Topping-Off Ceremony for the new Kohl Medical Pavilion in Pasadena. Attendees signed the final steel beam before it was lifted into place—just as the sun broke through a Southern California rainstorm, perfectly timing the moment.
Pasadena resident and generous donor Jerry Kohl shared a heartfelt message, emphasizing that this project is far more than another medical office building. It’s a continuation of Huntington Hospital’s legacy and a symbol of healing for the entire community.
Once complete, the four-story, 100,285 SF facility will elevate patient care and become the hub of the most comprehensive Cancer Care program in Southern California.
The project remains on schedule for early 2027 completion by Layton Construction, with Construction Administration led by Mike Vanderhoof and Michelle Nigl-Marrison of Mascari Dinh Architects.

Huntington Health / Cedars-Sinai Medical Office Building
Exciting progress in Pasadena! Our recent site tour showcased the steel structure rising for this world-class, 100,258 SF medical facility, now taking shape at the corner of South Fair Oaks and Fillmore in the heart of the city.
This four-story, ground-up development features three levels of below-grade parking, a welcoming pedestrian plaza, and a distinctive terrace and garden at the second level—its sweeping curved façade designed to express an “open arm to the community.”
The photos highlight the steel structure and full-scale mockups of the building’s façade and materials, giving the design and construction team the chance to refine details before full implementation.
A huge shoutout to Michelle Nigl-Marrison and Mike Vanderhoof for their exceptional leadership on behalf of MDA, and to , their subcontractors, and the hospital team for their collaboration.
📅 Project completion: Late Fall 2026
🏗️ The vision is becoming reality—one beam at a time.
