This customer heard about us from a family member and needed a master bathroom makeover. This design is currently being built at their home near Miramar Lake in San Diego. Soon, this will not only be a space of maximum luxury, but it will also suit all of their needs with the separate shower and tub, and the L-shape vanity with 2 sinks and a makeup drawer.

It's been a while since we've given an update on social media, and we do have some big news... we moved into our own showroom!

For our first few years in business, we shared a showroom with a few other business and worked with them to give that one-stop-shop experience. There were pros and cons to having that model, but the time came for us to get our own place after having some time to grow and gain a better understanding of how to serve our customers.

With our new location, you'll still be able to find all of the materials you could find at the previous shop, and more. Cabinets, countertops, tile, wood flooring, vinyl and laminate flooring, sinks, faucets, decorative hardware, etc.

And now, our customers can source all of that with just one point of contact, rather than having to remember which business handles what materials when they have questions. The other big bonus is that as we help with your design, we now have the info needed on all the materials to put together a cohesive plan depending on your budget, and what is or isn't in stock.

We are thrilled to now be able to provide this much improved customer experience, and are looking forward to the coming years as we continue to build out the new showroom, and help more homeowners and contractors.

recently opened a location in the San Diego Natural History Museum. They serve amazing tacos, coffee, and more, but they didn't quite have the setup they needed in their new spot. After they found us, we were able to build custom cabinets for them to meet the needs for their restaurant and also match the aesthetics of the surroundings in the museum lobby. Last week we got the cabinets installed, and installed the countertops. The Craft Taco spent just a few days serving on the rooftop while the work was being done, and now they're already back home in the lobby area. Go check them out!

Modern vs Contemporary Kitchen Design - What’s the Difference?

A "modern" kitchen is considered a more strict design style with clean lines, minimalist aesthetics, and a focus on functionality, often drawing inspiration from mid-20th-century design. In contrast, a "contemporary" kitchen incorporates current trends and can be more flexible with color and materials, essentially meaning "of the current time" and adapting to new design elements as they emerge; essentially, modern is a specific design movement while contemporary refers to what's popular now.

A customer found us last year while rebuilding a home in Point Loma with amazing views of both Downtown and the Pacific Ocean! They were putting a lot of energy and resources into this home, and they were having trouble finding a cabinet provider that would really work with them to bring their vision to life, while also being able to provide the high quality custom cabinets this home deserves for a price within the allowance given by the general contractor.

The family is incredibly nice and fun to work with, so we were very happy that they found us and that we were able to help with the project. We started with the designer's plans, and made just a few suggestions to help with functionality since we specialize in cabinetry layouts.

Once everything was finalized, we placed the order with who exceeded expectations as always, then we helped oversee the installation to ensure the final product was everything they imagined. The end result is the definition of a dream home.

WHY IS YOUR CABINETRY SO IMPORTANT?
Cabinetry is important because it provides essential storage space in a home, allowing for organization and efficient use of space, while also significantly impacting the overall aesthetic and value of a room, particularly in areas like the kitchen and bathroom where cabinets are a prominent feature; essentially, they are a key element in creating a functional and visually appealing living space. This also defines the style and functionality of your kitchen. They can also reflect your personality.

A customer is building a new home on a nice plot of land out in Alpine. He drove by our shop a couple of weeks ago and saw that we had doors so he stopped to check it out. When he walked in, he realized he could get all the finish materials he needed right here in one place.

For the cabinetry, we looked at door samples during that first visit to the shop and he found the one he liked. Then since the framing was already done, we went out and took measurements, did a couple revisions of drawings, and now we have the design ready to go and the cabinets can get ordered.

Next step will be to pick out cabinet pulls, sinks, and faucets. We will likely start installing the cabinets around the beginning of March.

Lift-Up Cabinets - If you are looking for a modern closed cabinet storage, you might consider lift-up or awning-style cabinets. The best part about these horizontal storage units is that the shutter has to be lifted upwards to see all the contents within the cabinet. Another plus is that the lift-up units are safe as it does not hit the head. Unlike hinged wall cabinets one does not have to step backwards or forwards to open or close the cabinets.

Lift-up cabinets are cabinets with doors that open upwards, instead of swinging out. They are a popular choice for kitchens because they are space-saving and provide easy access to items stored inside.

These cabinets are a smart and stylish solution for homeowners looking to maximize storage and improve functionality in their kitchens. These cabinets feature doors that open upward rather than outward, creating a sleek, contemporary look with convenient access.
