Even our diffusers can come custom. These diffusers can be supplied with IR grade, low OH fused silica. Pick your material: fused silica, sapphire, MgF2, ZnSe, CaF2 or glass.

There are numerous sapphire growth methods & grades. Generally, the higher the grade, the better the UV and IR transmission. This creates less light scatter and lattice distortion. The best grades, in particular, UV grade will not solarize.
