This is against our strong belief that a 'fail safe engineered' safety system (like brakes) should never share the same components as the rest of the system. The need for a hard-wired line, never using wireless protocols..since being susceptible to interference, drop-outs or exposed to risk of hacking.

A hydraulic system allowed for complete independent operation. Hopefully the integrated system has independent grounds and has its own power supply, if not an entirely different CPU from the other system.

We're strong advocates for NASA approach at a fault tolerant design of redundancy and allowing for multiple system failures before losing complete control of the vehicle.

Our bet is the partnership will be between Brembo and Tesla.. on the other side of the coin we have been flying-by-wire since the 80's... Hydraulics compensate for wear and conformity, but computers can now do that with less maintenance.

As long as the don't begin a subscription tier to use parts of the vehicle 'features'...we're looking at you BMW 🤣
