HTN is owned and operated by two plant nerds. We have a small indoor nursery in San Francisco and offer delivery to the North, South and East Bay. Everything we sell is given individual attention. After years of growing and collecting we have acquired mother plants with exceptional genetics to propagate and breed from. We value transparency, especially in the plant community, and only sell high quality, healthy plants. We are also careful to only source our plants from reputable, poach free suppliers.

The only thing difficult about a Philodendron FL Ghost is achieving that ghostly white color. You’re really at the mercy or your best lighting. Aside from that, these plants are superheroes. They do well in every growing medium. You can over water, under water, abandon them in a dark corner because they have spider mites and only fill their reservoir with tap water for three months, and they will still be good to you. (I know, I’m a bad person.) Also they are generally quite pest resistant compared to my other aroids.

I want to say genetics aren’t everything, that environment also plays a big factor. But this plants genetics are absurd. I guess there is always an exception to the rule. .

This Joepii was the first really expensive plant I ever purchased. Actually, I got two, lol. It was before they were TC and because of their rarity in the wild and unique history I’m really glad I own two of these original genetic lines. I’ve also had the honor of donating one to the California Academy of Science’s Rainforest Dome in Golden Gate Park. TC is great in many ways, however it doesn’t do much for the genetic diversity of a endangered species in cultivation.

Anthuriums do great in PON, especially as seedlings. If you opt for no drainage, it’s important to keep the vessel shorter and wider than you typically would with say, a philodendron. Mix in large grade perlite and keep the reservoir low so the roots get lots of air.

My Anthurium pallidiflorum is blooming! I recently changed my feed to Fox Farms Tiger Bloom and I guess it works. This is my first anthurium inflorescence! I’m so excited!
